Women's swimwear by Vivien Vance
Vivien Vance swimwear is designed and made in Europe, from Italian and Spanish fabrics. Two things matter most to us: quality and comfort. You wear a swimsuit all day, in the water, in the sun, on the sand. If it pinches, slips or needs constant adjusting, it doesn't matter how good it looks.
The collection has bikinis and one-piece swimsuits. Bikini tops and bottoms are also sold separately, because it's rare for the same size to fit both top and bottom.
Tops and bottoms separately, each in your own size
Among the bikini tops you'll find push-up, removable padding, unpadded, triangle, bandeau and strapless styles. Support and shape depend far more on the cut than on the size, so check the product description to see how the cups and straps are made. The bikini bottoms come in classic, Brazilian, thong and high-waisted cuts. That way you can pair one top with two different bottoms, one for the beach and one for sunbathing.
If you're between two sizes
From our returns we can see that for bikini bottoms the most common reason is "too small". If you're not sure, go for the larger size in bottoms, especially in thong and Brazilian styles, which use less fabric and sit tighter. With tops, size is rarely the issue, the cut is: if you want more support, a push-up or removable-padding top will suit you better, and for a more natural shape, an unpadded one. You'll find the exact measurements in the size guide.
One-piece swimsuits
For us, the one-piece swimsuit isn't the modest alternative. Styles with a thong back, a deep neckline or decorative details are just as daring as a bikini, only in one piece. For swimming, water sports or the pool they're the better choice, because they stay in place when you move.
Details
On many of our styles the details are the point: gold rings and chains, shiny lurex or the Vivien Vance logo elastic. These pieces deserve a little more care, more on that in the FAQ below.
To take it beyond the beach, pick something from our beachwear, and you'll also find beach towels and accessories.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between Brazilian and thong bikini bottoms?
Brazilian bottoms are cut higher at the back than classic ones but still cover part of the bum. A thong narrows to a thin strip at the back, so it leaves the fewest tan lines. If you're trying a cheekier bottom for the first time, start with Brazilian.
Which bikini top gives more support?
A push-up top lifts and shapes, and with removable padding you decide whether you want the pads in. Triangle and bandeau styles give a more natural shape. A strapless top has nothing holding it from above, so for a larger bust the version with straps is the safer choice.
What are high-waisted bikini bottoms good for?
They come up to the waist, lengthen the legs and cover the tummy better than classic bottoms. They have a retro feel and look best with a shorter top or a bandeau.
One-piece or bikini?
If you swim a lot or move around a lot in the water, a one-piece is more comfortable. If an even tan matters most, a bikini. Plenty of people pack both for a holiday.
How do I care for my swimwear?
After wearing, rinse it in cold fresh water so chlorine, salt and sunscreen don't stay in the fabric. Hand wash with a mild detergent, don't wring it out, and dry it flat in the shade. Keep pieces with decorations and metal details out of hot water, and don't leave them folded up wet. The exact care instructions are on the label.
Can I buy the top and bottom in different sizes?
Yes, that's exactly why we sell them separately. On the product page we also show you which top and bottom belong together.
